2009 Asheville Mountain Unicycle Festival

Asheville MUni Fest

Welcome to the Third Asheville Mountain Unicycle Festival

 DATE:  September 25-27, 2009

LOCATION:  Asheville, North Carolina

Thank you for all of the wonderful riders who attended the 3rd annual Asheville MUni Festival.  You can find a very detailed summary of our third festival written by Rob, also known as "Munisano" on his blog site.  Thanks Rob!  Also please visit unicyclist.com forums - SOUTHEAST MUni FEST (This is the old name of our festival.) You can also see new pictures from the festival taken by Bill Palas on our web page.  Thanks Bill!

Welcome to the Asheville Mountain Unicycle Festival web page with information about the 3rd annual Asheville Mountain Unicycle Festival in beautiful western North Carolina. We hope you can ride with us -- Western North Carolina has some of the best trails on the East Coast for mountain unicycling. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville is next to the Blue Ridge Parkway and near the Appalachian Trail.  Some of the finest single track trails east of the Mississippi are in our backyard in the Pisgah National Forest.

The festival is put on by a group of dedicated Asheville mountain unicycle riders, WNC Unicyclists.  The festival was started in 2007 by Adam Masters and was called the Southeast MUni Festival in 2007 and 2008.  Meet the hosts of Asheville MUni Fest here. Currently, the reigning Southeast MUni champion is Ben Richardson who swept the field in the '08 race.  Ben holds bragging rights until 2009's race and is spreading it on thick until then.

Please let us know that you plan on attending the festival by completing the registration form using the link to the right.  We hope to see you there!  Bring friends.  Unicyclists of all abilities are welcome to attend the festival.  Non-riders are welcome too!

NOTE:  We WILL ride rain or shine, please watch the weather and plan accordingly.  Local weather link below.  It looks like it might rain on us this year.

Friday update:  It has been dry for 3 days in Asheville!  There is a chance of rain this weekend (link below), but the trails are in great condition right now.  The flooding on the news (Southeast) doesn't include Asheville.

Thank you Asheville Muni Fest Sponsors!
